Lamaze Prepared Childbirth Classes ($160 for mother and partner, $25 for an additional partner)

Educational and interactive class for mother and her partner. Ideally this should be completed a month before your due date. Register now-they fill fast!!

CLASS OPTIONS:  Weekly series (4 sessions)
Weekend series (2 sessions)
Weekend one-day Express Class (1 session)

All class options provide the same content. 
FEE: $160 for mother and one partner ($25 for additional partner)
$55 of the $160 is payable at registration. The balance of $105 is payable to the instructor prior to the class.

Sleep tight

Infant Care Classes ($60 for mom and partner)

($25 additional fee if you wish to bring a grandparent or babysitter in addition to your partner)

A 3-hour hands-on experience devoted to instilling confidence for the expectant parents. This is a fun class where both parents learn:

Infant Care plus CPR Classes ($85 for mom and partner)

Mom-to-be

Breastfeeding Classes ($60 for mom and partner)

Board-certified lactation consultants (IBCLCs) provide a comprehensive 2 1/2 hour class. This class is an absolute must for the family wishing to breastfeed. Formula prices for the first year range from $1,700 to $3,000 annually. While breastfeeding is a natural process, there are many facets to learning how to have a good milk supply and to preventing difficulties. Staffing issues in the hospital limit how much time can be spent providing individual instruction so prepare yourself to succeed. Ideally this should be completed a month before your due date. Register early— they fill fast!!

Fathers rave about how much they have learned and suggest it as a MUST for all fathers-to-be. Bring a doll or stuffed animal for practice (no nudity involved.)

Lamaze breathing

Private Classes (price is per hour)

We offer a variety of private classes for women who want one-on-one contact with an instructor. Lamaze childbirth preparation, infant care, Cesarean and vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC) classes are all available in private sessions. These classes can be specially designed to focus on the specific concerns of the mother-to-be and her partner.

Cesarean Classes ($125 plus travel)

Couples scheduled for a planned Cesarean benefit from this private class detailing the Cesarean procedure and the recovery period. The one-on-one with the instructor enables the couple to air any concerns they may have, alleviate fears and prepare for a positive birth experience.

Parents-to-be

VBAC Classes ($125 plus travel)

We offer private classes for pregnant women who have had a child by Cesarean section and are considering a vaginal birth (VBAC) for this delivery. Couples meet one-on-one with a trained VBAC instructor. Topics covered include:

Baby Bed 'n' Breakfast of Bethany Beach ($450 per couple)

(www.beachbirthclass.com) Private personalized comprehensive Lamaze class taught by experienced Lamaze Certifed Childbirth Educator in a casual beach cottage 1/2 block from the ocean in the charming town of Bethany Beach, Delaware, less than 3 hours from the DC area.  Includes 6 hours of private instruction, overnight accommodations with private bath, healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks plus time to explore the beach, shops and top local restaurants. Comfort and Breathing (Private class, $100)

This class is designed for the Mom wanting a natural labor. This course will give the participants a wide course of comfort tools, comfort measures, relaxation, and breathing techniques. It emphasizes partner involvement. Pre-requisite you must have taken a childbirth class.

Baby Care for the Nanny (Private class, $100)

Will cover all aspects of baby care including comforting techniques for the baby and safety measures. It is designed for the Nanny that has not taken care of a newborn. Can be done in your home with the newborn baby.

Our classes are conveniently located throughout MD, DC and VA. Class options include multi-week classes, weekend classes and private classes.

All classes are for the pregnant woman and her partner. The cost of each class is for the couple. Discounts are available when taking multiple classes.
