So you're
pregnant. Your abdomen keeps expanding, you're always hot, your food
doesn't taste right and you're not sleeping well.
You're reading
everything you can about this mysterious process and the labor and delivery
that will end it. Your vocabulary is increasing by leaps and bounds:
episiotomy, cesarean, epidural--to name a few. You're learning more
with each passing week.
Yet sometimes,
between the books, the internet and your friends all this information
becomes very confusing.
Where do
you turn for the answers, for clarification, for a place to discuss
your concerns? Your doctor or nurse midwife is the ultimate source,
of course, but sometimes you want to know a little more before you approach
them. You want to discuss it with medically knowledgeable individuals
who can give you reliable answers to use as a springboard for a conversation
with your health professional.
Lamaze childbirth
classes are your answer.
You've probably
heard of Lamaze and its breathing and relaxation techniques to help
you cope with the pain of labor and its techniques for pushing the baby
out. And, true, those are central to our classes, but we also give you
a lot of other information. Information about partner's role,
epidurals, episiotomies, fetal monitoring, routine hospital procedures
and cesareans.
We give you
all the information you need, starting from the third trimester of pregnancy
through the process of labor and delivery, the early postpartum period
and early parenthood so you will feel confident and in control.
Moms and
their partners usually take a class series while mom's in the seventh
or eighth month of pregnancy. We offer weekend classes for one or two
days and weeknight classes over three or four weeks. Our class
listings section gives you all your options.
However you
decide to take it, you will finish the course feeling prepared and more
confident to meet the challenges of labor and delivery.
And you'll
have the information you wanted to ask your doctor or nurse midwife
those questions you've been hesitating about.
Set your mind at ease--enroll in a class today through the simple online registration in the class listings section.
