A Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) is a professional who has completed a rigorous 12-month national certification program. Her education includes obstetrics, childbirth education, pain management techniques, instructional methods and group dynamics. Her competence is assured through a national examination.

Lamaze International instructors are degreed professionals who are registered nurses, physical therapists or professionals in the health or education fields. Our instructors have extensive experience as childbirth educators and are knowledgeable in current medical practice and hospital policies. Recertification is required every three years to maintain high professional standards.

Our teachers are knowledgeable with most having at least ten years teaching experiece; several with up to 30 years. IBCLC

All Breastfeeding classes are taught by Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants. An IBCLC is a professional certification which requires passing a rigorous examination after meeting 2500 hours of experience. Recertification requires 75 continuing education units every five years or retesting.
